Flowers at Christmas!

White flowers..a Georgia White Christmas.

Winter Solstice

Today I spied the first flower from my Lenten Rose garden... fitting for the passing of the Winter Solstice, and a true harbinger of things to come. If regular rain continues, and we don't have a late snow, I hope to harvest 500,000 seeds this Spring.

Lenten Roses in Fall: zone 7

Here at www.lentenrose.com, Fall is a time for work and preparation...and anticipation. After the Long Hot Summer, the large rugged leafage of our Lenten Roses may appear a bit bedraggled, but the fall rains bring on the new growth that precedes the flowering. Lenten Roses hardly even worry about Winter, and before we know it, our gardens will be bursting forth with thousands of flowers!
